As with many communities in
St. Louis, the city of Ballwin got its name from one of its founders--a
southern Methodist leader named John Ball. Originally called "Ballshow",
descendants of Ball claim he renamed it as a result of a rivalry with
nearby Manchester. Apparently John Ball saw great things for his town and
felt it would "win out" in growth and prosperity. Ball's prophecy has come
true as evidenced by an abundance of affordable housing choices. The
majority of Ballwin is served by the award-winning Rockwood School
District, with some parts being served by the AAA-rated Parkway School
District. Daycare, shopping, health clubs, dining options, and houses of
worship abound in Ballwin.

Lying 23 miles west of St.
Louis, Chesterfield is one of the oldest settlements along Olive Street
Road. In 1907 all mail operations from surrounding areas were transferred
to Chesterfield which operated free rural delivery routes. The town,

agricultural until the 1960's when a surge of residential and commercial
development took place. Featuring a wide variety of choices from custom
homes to villas to lush horse properties, Chesterfield is easily
accessible to all areas by Highway 40. Incorporated in 1988, the area
includes a large shopping mall and remains one of the fastest growing
regions in St. Louis County. Chesterfield is served equally by the
Rockwood and Parkway school districts. An abundance of shopping and dining
options are available throughout Chesterfield. Daycare, health clubs,
